Getting to West Point

West point is located about an hour north of New York City along the west banks of the Hudson river.  (regional mapMany options exist for transportation to West Point and we encourage you to examine all possible options.

The West Point area is served by four airports and a train line.  Three of the airports are in the New York City region (JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark) and one (Stewart International Airport) is a regional airport 20 minutes from West Point.  The train line runs on the east side of the Hudson and taxi service is the only transportation option to West Point.

An attendee this summer just emailed with the following

"By the way, if people are coming from Washington DC, you might want to mention that Independence Air now offers several flights per day direct from Dulles Airport to Stewart Airport.  I booked my ticket over the weekend and it was $200RT -- a very reasonable airfare, convenient times, and a direct flight."

If you elect to drive or take a rental car, detailed driving directions can be found in the driving page.
