Classroom XXI is
located within the Academy’s Department of Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science and is integrated into a larger
network comprising the Department’s Information Warfare and
Analysis Research Lab. At each student seat in Classroom XXI,
each student has access to three separate workstations dedicated
to their use as well as having access to individual Virtual
Information Assurance Networks (VIANs).

These VIANs form the
cornerstone of our innovative educational process of giving
students a personal heterogeneous computing environment which
they can configure and modify at will without fear of affecting
other students or academy resources. As part of the tour we
will provide a hacking demonstration used in one of our core
courses to educate cadets and increase awareness on the dangers
to and vulnerabilities of internet computing.
