Haxathon 2010 was won by a very talented underclassmen, Cadet Greg Ecklin.
RenderMan (The Return)
Render addressed the cadets in IT485E (Exploitation) and taught cadets valuable lessons about the insecurities in different wireless protocols and the open source tools that can be used by adversaries to break into unsecure wireless networks.
Chris Gates Visit
Chris, a former graduate of the United States Military Academy, addressed cadets and explained his current occupation as a penetration tester and his work with the open source project MetaSploit.
Travis Goodspeed Visit
Travis, a top security researcher in the fields of reverse
engineering and embedded systems cam and spoke with the cadets and faculty about the vulnerabilities in using embedded systems
and the applications to topics from smart meters in the power grid to smart minefields in the battlefield.
Renderman Visit
Brad Haines, (AKA Renderman), a security researcher and computer security expert came and spoke with the cadets
and faculty about several aspects of computer security and the methods he uses to break into systems as a
professional penetration tester. It was a very exciting talk for the cadets and as you can see
many instructors and cadets stayed to ask lots of in-depth questions.
ShmooCon 2010
ShmooCon in SnowApocalypse went great! We had some awesome talks and learned a whole lot of new

Mr. Kershaw, a legendary hacker with expert knowledge of wireless hacking visited and talked to some of the cadets, including advising a few cadets on capstone projects. Some photos below

Mr. Potter, a legend from the Shmoo Group and expert on advanced penetration testing talked to the cadets, faculty and staff about the aspects of trusted computing...



CyberDawn 2009
The cadets brought home an outstanding 3rd place at CyberDawn. They placed ahead of every other school there, only placing behind AOL and BAE. Great job!


Google Hack
The cadets investigated an Army post using Google and found some interesting results, including a pretty good phone number :) and information that should have never found its way to the internet ...
