You do not need to be a member of ACM or SIGSAC to participate in Army SIGSAC activities.
FAQs - (Frequently asked questions.)
Will I learn how to hack?
Yes - We learn about the offensive capabilities of hackers. This allows us to better understand our enemy, his capabilities, and protect our information. Information assurance and dominance are keys to success on the battlefield and we need to understand our enemy can leverage hacking to his advantage.
Do I need to major in Computer Science?
No - We have club members in all disciplines of academic pursuit at the academy including those majoring in foreign languages, social sciences, math, and chemistry. We welcome everyone and their own talents that make them an asset.
What trips and events do you offer?
See the Calendar Page. We have an exciting lineup of talks, trips, and fun activities planned this year. But we are always welcome to more ideas. Bottom line up front though is that you will get some exciting opportunities like visiting the NSA or hacker conferences in Las Vegas that you would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.
